“Me V You”: Canelo Alvarez’s Former Opponent and Ex-Super Middleweight Champion Calls Out Jake Paul for a “No Pay” Bout as ‘The Problem Child’ Announces His Next Fight

Jake Paul recently shook the world with his performance against Andre August, defeating the professional boxer with a powerful right uppercut in the very first round of their match-up. Jake Paul has set his eyes on winning a world championship title and has decided to stick to fighting purely professional boxers. As of now, he is set to fight on March 24. However, he isn’t the one headlining the event. So who is?

‘The Problem Child’ plays another role as a boxing promoter and is a manager to the unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano. According to the latest buzz, he has another event lined up in March at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. Even though he will be fighting, surprisingly, the main card of the event will feature the Puerto Rican champion Serrano, who will be going up against Nina Meinke. However, the question remains: who is going to be Jake Paul’s opponent? One professional boxer and former champion has just thrown in the gauntlet.

Jake Paul gets called out as he announces his return

In a Twitter post, Jake Paul made the startling revelation. He wrote, “Guess who’s back 🙂 … Jake already? Yes, I’m on a mission… But this one is much bigger than me. This one is for the greatest Puerto Rican boxer ever, Amanda Serrano. This one is for the people of Puerto Rico, from the Choliseo to the world. This one is for all of boxing to see how powerful women are in this sport and for Wanna Walton to usher in his superstar boxing future in front of 20,000 people.” He even signed himself off as “El Gallo de Dorado.”

Soon, the former WBA (Regular) super-middleweight champion, Rocky Fielding, wrote back, challenging the Problem Child to a fight. “Me V You. No pay for me just want to flatteren you an get this YouTube shite to fu*k,” wrote Fielding. The former champion, who previously lost against Canelo Álvarez back in 2018, took the chance to challenge Paul. The Liverpool native boasts an impressive record of  30 wins and 3 losses. If this does materialize, Fielding would be the most decorated boxer to ever fight Jake Paul.

However, it remains to be seen if Paul will respond to the call-out or go for someone more suited to his speed. As the fight was announced, here’s what the featherweight champion, Amanda Serrano, had to say about the event and Jake Paul.

Serrano shares her gratitude towards Paul

Amanda Serrano’s upcoming bout against the European female featherweight champion Nina Meinke already has the fans buzzing. Just recently, Serrano expressed deep gratitude towards her manager, Jake Paul, crediting him for her skyrocketing career. She believes Paul’s reputation is often tainted by public opinion.

When addressing the announcement of her fight, Serrano’s emotions overflowed. Responding to Wade Plem, she admitted, “I’ve literally cried.” Contrary to the prevailing negativity surrounding Jake Paul, Serrano stood firm. She insisted that the criticism he faces is unjustified, remarking Jake Paul is “nothing near what pple say & I get to live and experience it time & time again.”
