John Gotti III could not control his emotions during the exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. And, that has come back to bite him. Gotti III started a brawl with Mayweather Jr, which led to both fighters’ teams’ involvement. However, although the former five-division world champion kept calm throughout the fight and the brawl, the same cannot be said for Gotti III. That rash decision to go at Mayweather Jr has led to the suspension of the 30-year-old.

Gotti III was recently suspended for 6 months by the Florida State Athletic Commission for his post-fight brawl with Mayweather Jr. The news of the suspension has caused a stir among the fans, who have many conspiracy theories of their own about this decision.

The referee who had seen enough of trash-talking during the fight, stopped the contest. Gotti III, who got carried away by his emotions continued to march forward and threw wild haymakers, post the final bell. Immediately after, both teams entered the ring to bring the situation under control. Fortunately, things did not go more south than that. The intervention by the teams eventually stopped the brawl.

As reported by MMAFighting, “The DBPR Florida Athletic Commission took immediate action the evening of Sunday, June 11, and suspended John Gotti III for six months,” said a spokesperson for the Florida Department of Business and professional regulation.

It seems uncertain what will be the next step for Gotti III. And he has not made any public comment on his suspension yet. But, he had made one thing certain. After the fight, he said that Floyd Mayweather Jr. has become an “enemy for life.” The news was not expected by the fans who shared their opinions. According to one fan, Floyd Mayweather Jr. owns all of his exhibition fights.

Another fan joked and said that Gotti III is getting suspended despite getting being the person that got rocked in the scuffle.

One fan agrees with the decision of not suspending Floyd Mayweather Jr. as he did not start any of it. And it was Gotti III who started the brawl.
