Boxing legend Muhammad Ali and ‘King of Pop’ Michael Jackson boast of an unmatchable legacy in their respective fields of art. Both of them were strutting in the glory of their success during the 1970s. Although a relationship marked by mutual respect and adoration, the icons weren’t photographed together very often. However, Ali’s daughter Laila recently shared a clip that refreshed memories and gave an insight into MJ and Ali’s relationship.

Laila Ali posted a video of her father and Michael Jackson joking around and sparring on a stage. She wrote, “MJ used to come visit our home when I was a kid. Seeing this video puts a smile on my face. May they both enjoy being in a better place now!”
The video shows a young MJ asking Ali, “Say champ, you think I could ever float like a butterfly? Sting like a bee?”
Ali replied, “Well you’ve got the butterfly part down brother Michael. And you sing real sweet to complete the cycle. But before you can sting people out of their wits, you gotta put on some meat and keep on eating your grits.”
Jackson responded by saying, “Man you cold.”
The two icons play a significant role in motivating others to put in hard work and accomplish great things. They ranked among the 20th century’s most influential people.

‘The Greatest’ had been suffering from Parkinson’s for years. His health continued to deteriorate with every year that passed starting from the moment his body began exhibiting indications of the condition. Sadly, we lost the famous fighter in 2016 when he was 74 years old.

The entire globe was grieving Ali’s passing. Although Jackson passed away in 2009, his official Twitter account nevertheless shared a post in the honor of Jackson and his late friend Ali. The post read, “He was The Greatest in every sense. Not just an athlete, but as ambassador for civil rights. RIP Muhammad Ali.”

The “King of Pop” passed away in 2009 at the age of 50. He died after a heart attack in his Los Angeles, California, residence. His demise was subject to debate, and his doctor was later determined to have committed involuntary manslaughter.
Both Ali and Jackson sadly had unnatural deaths. However, they have left a priceless legacy, and people will always remember them.
