Newly crowned WBC International heavyweight champion, Martin Bakole might envision a fight against Anthony Joshua somewhere down the line. However, he doesn’t consider himself ready for the challenge at this stage.
Following a unanimous win over Sergey Kuzmin, Bakole shed light on his plans in the division. He is currently on a five-fight win streak and already has a title to boast about.
The 27-year-old has a long way ahead, and he is already calling out the top-rated heavyweights. From Dereck Chisora to Dillian Whyte, Bakole has fixed his eyes on all, except for the “number one” Anthony Joshua.

He considers AJ as the best heavyweight right now. So, billing himself as the number 10 Bakole wants to avoid the matchup at this point.
He hailed the unified champion with the respect he deserves and counted himself amongst Joshua’s fans in his post-fight interview.
Martin Bakole is not ready for Anthony Joshua
Coming across all the 10-rounds against Kuzmin, Martin Bakole secured the win with an advantage of 96-94, 98-92, and 97-93. After the fight, Bakole went straight after the heavyweight A-listers in his own fashion.
The WBC titleholder said, “He is tough guy, believe me, he is a good fight there but I can see what’s going at this stage. So, why not? I am here to face anybody. But not AJ now, because he is the number one right now. I am number 10, I want Chisora, I want Dillian Whyte, I want Joe Joyce. I want anyone who’s close there.”
Bakole showcases a professional record of 16 wins (12 KOs) and one loss. He is one of the scariest punches in the division.
