Manny Pacquiao might reconsider his decision to make a surprise return against Mario Barrios after Rukiya Anpo, primarily a Japanese kickboxer rattled the 45-year-old in their exhibition match on July 28th. Must the former eight-weight world champion not concede he has aged and would do best with his gloves hung? While Pacquiao’s boxing career hangs in the balance, Rukiya Anpo, pumped from the last fight, knows how he would fare against Floyd Mayweather and Ryan Garcia.
Being the young and taller boxer, Rukiya Anpo had Manny Pacquiao in all sorts of trouble when he landed those overhands on the Filipino. Additionally, being 45, Pacquiao was deficient in the footwork, quickness, and head movement he was once known for in the sport. But although the legend was beaten up, the exhibition was declared a draw to his legacy’s rescue.
Meanwhile, Rukiya Anpo, fresh from his victory against ‘Pac Man,’ wants to avenge Japan’s losses to Floyd Mayweather. Remember when ‘TBE’ toyed with Tenshin Nasukawa and Mikuru Asakura in the ring? Well, Anpo wants to confront Mayweather to show the latter what a Japanese fighter is capable of. So, on social media, the 28-year-old called out ‘TBE,’ along with trending star Ryan Garcia!

While Mayweather has a history with Japan, Ryan Garcia just wanted to enjoy himself at the Pacquiao vs. Anpo event following the NYSAC ban and expulsion from the WBC. However, little did he know, he would get called out by a 6’0″ tall kickboxer. “Honestly, I’m confident I could win against either Mayweather or Ryan Garcia in three rounds,” Rukiya Anpo wrote on X.
However, before Anpo called out Garcia, ‘KingRy’ almost ran into a fight with another Rizin kickboxer in Tokyo.

Occupying the stage, Garcia, the guest of honor thanked Jesus Christ at the outset. Then he added, “I’m on vacation to Japan. Tokyo, what’s up? I love Tokyo. Got all that excited to see Pacquiao fight. He’s one of my biggest inspirations in my life.” So, even though he claimed he loved Tokyo, he had clarified that he was rooting for Pacquiao against Japan.

Added to this, when Kouzi, a Rizin kickboxer appeared for the face-off, Garcia heckled the former saying “arigato [thank you in Japanese]” multiple times. This angered the kickboxer and he displayed his middle finger to ‘KingRy’ in an unsportsmanlike gesture. However, as Garcia continued chanting “arigato,” Kouzi decided to attack Ryan Garcia sitting in the front row. Just when Kouzi was about to walk across the stage to Ryan, security forcefully removed the kickboxer.
