In January 2021, Luke Campbell fought the internet sensation, Ryan Garcia, for the interim WBC lightweight strap. Both the boxers gave their absolute best in this encounter, thus keeping every casual and hardcore boxing lover hooked. But in the end, it was Garcia who triumphed and claimed his much-needed title.
On the other hand, nobody thought that this fight would be Campbell’s last pro-bout. A few days back, the Brit hung up his gloves from the sport, leaving everyone in shock. In a short yet sublime career, Campbell went all guns blazing against the toughest of opponents and gave some spine-chilling performances.
Recently, he interacted with Seconds Out and shared some golden words for his former foe, Ryan Garcia, detailing why he’s the most dangerous at the 135-pound frame.

He said, “I believe Ryan Garcia is the most dangerous fighter out of them. You know, his timing and his speed and powering ball fans.”
Campbell, in his fight against Garcia, walked in as an underdog. But he stunned everyone when he dropped ‘King Ry’ in round 2 of the fight. Despite this, the American boxer collected himself and he assaulted Campbell.
