Devin Haney is now training with renowned coach Freddie Roach in preparation for his title challenge against WBC light welterweight champion Regis Prograis on December 9th at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Typically, Haney trains under the guidance of his father, Bill, and Ben Davison. However, he’s incorporating additional training with Roach, who continues to show his coaching prowess despite battling Parkinson’s disease. Haney’s pad work with Roach looked impressive. In recent fights, Haney has developed a tendency to grapple and clinch, which is quite different from his pad work. Haney also needs to deliver a more entertaining performance and avoid criticism.
