What the determined Francis Ngannou delivered against the magnificent Tyson Fury caught many off guard. Contrary to those who initially thought Fury would make the bout child’s play, Ngannou made a powerful statement by getting ‘The Gypsy King’ in a fix. Despite primarily being a mixed martial artist, the Cameroonian-French fighter displayed the fact that he mastered adequate boxing for the undefeated WBC heavyweight champion.

Although comparatively the lighter and shorter boxer, Ngannou fought toe-to-toe and landed his shots on Fury. In the third round, as Fury forced ‘The Predator’ with a 1-2, the latter floored ‘The Gypsy King’ with a left hook to the head. Following this impressive crossover fight, as IFL TV interviewed Eddie Hearn, the Matchroom Chairman left no opportunity to take a sly dig at Tyson Fury.

Although the split decision fell in Fury’s favor, Eddie Hearn thought Ngannou did enough to win the fight. In his opinion, while ‘The Predator’ looked impressive, Tyson Fury disappointed the boxing world. “I’m absolutely lost for words. I mean Francis Ngannou has never boxed before. And fair play to him,” announced Hearn. However, speaking of Tyson Fury, he thought ‘The Gypsy King’ was boxing for the first time in his life.

I mean, I didn’t think he was very impressive but Tyson Fury looked like he’s never laced up a pair of gloves before. [He] got dropped, it was the third round. Ngannou never threw a punch after. I thought Ngannou won by two rounds. The boxing world’s gone mad,” Hearn remarked. Along these lines, following Fury’s performance, Hearn even boldly declared that Anthony Joshua would KO Fury!

Hearn is confident Anthony Joshua will KO Fury and even gave out the round

Ahead of the fight with Ngannou, Fury signed a contract with Oleksandr Usyk for the undisputed heavyweight fight. However, Hearn currently believes we should forget all about Fury vs. Usy. In his opinion, Fury should fight Anthony Joshua instead. “I mean, please, forget Fury-Usyk. No one’s interested. Just give us Fury against ‘AJ’. ‘AJ’ will knock Tyson Fury out inside six rounds!” said Hearn. “Or, rematch Ngannou because the guy just deserves to have one of the greatest wins. I don’t know what Tyson Fury was doing. I’m still completely lost for words,” he concluded.

Although Hearn wants ‘AJ’ vs. Fury, since ‘The Gypsy King’ has already signed a deal with Usyk, it is very likely that Fury vs. Usyk will take place. However, one cannot also deny the fact that Ngannou exposed ‘The Gypsy King’. But, do you think ‘AJ’ is capable of knocking out Fury? In addition, what did you think of Fury’s performance?
