Inside the ring to scare the wits out of his opponent, the man had a taste of his own medicine, albeit at the hands of the administration. Logan Paul shared the details of a recent scare he went through during the Crown Jewel tour.

WWE in Saudi Arabia
It was in 2014 that WWE marked its presence for the first time in Saudi Arabia. Starting with shows sans televised broadcast, by 2018, WWE secured a deal for pay-per-view tournaments. In 2019, a decision was taken to schedule two significant events per year, either in Riyadh or Jeddah.
Saudi Arabia saw the Greatest Royal Rumble on April 27th, 2018, followed by Crown Jewel in 2019. The region has so far celebrated eight sizeable events. The last one, Crown Jewel, 2022, took place in Riyadh on November 5th.

The event’s centerpiece was the fight between Roman Reigns and Logan Paul. While the former, a WWE veteran, is a Heavyweight champion, the latter meandered into WWE after a brief stint in boxing with his brother.
The finals ended with Logan’s defeat. On top of that, he injured himself badly and is currently recuperating.
Logan Paul in a cold sweat
On November 1st, there were reports of Iran attacking selected targets in Saudi Arabia. However, WWE officials decided to go ahead with the mega-event. Subsequently, on November 2nd, reports from Iran asserted that no such plan existed.
Given the sensitivity surrounding the region’s geo-political goings-on, the United States State Department shared the rundown of do’s and don’ts with the WWE team visiting Riyadh. Cultural sensitization sessions followed to avoid any discomfiture.
Logan’s friend and co-host of his show Impulsive Mike Majlak said, “We had briefings prior to going there, talked with members of the State Department, different briefing squads, different communities, people who had been there.”

It is a part of the US administration’s typical itinerary to familiarize those visiting Saudi Arabia with security-related matters. The proactive measures help to keep away from any diplomatic fluster.
Logan Paul admitted to having his heart in his mouth. “They really did scare us, I’ll be honest.”
As much as his wrestling performance has won accolades, Logan’s boxing record remains twopenny-halfpenny. However, he has hinted at a return to boxing to set the account straight. In addition, his younger brother Jake finally seems to be bearing the fruits of perseverance with six victories without any losses.
