The fight between Ryan Garcia and Gervonta Davis reportedly did over 1.2 million PPVs across all platforms. And if the price of an $84.99 subscription is taken into account, that means the PPV alone generated a staggering amount of money. Not only this but according to Keith Idec of BoxingScene, the ticket sale for the fight was also pretty big. Reportedly, the fight generated around $22.8 million dollars. And this seems to be the fifth-highest amount of revenue generated in Las Vegas. The fighters also walked away with a hefty paycheck.

Oscar De La Hoya recently took to Twitter to take a shot at Davis and laud Garcia for the achievement. According to De La Hoya, whether people refuse to acknowledge it or not, “Garcia is the new face of PPV”. He tagged Garcia and wrote, “@RyanGarcia is the new face of PPV like it or not. @Gervontaa only did 200k PPV a few times without Ryan, With Ryan fight generates 1 million plus PPV”. De La Hoya appears to be putting all the credit behind the success of the event on Garcia’s shoulders.
