Success comes with a cost, at least that’s what many say. And it seems it might be true, and nobody is immune to it. Lisa Garcia, Ryan Garcia‘s mother, understands this. The loneliness that comes with success has struck many, so she extended a heartfelt gesture to help fans who have been melancholy themselves.
The Garcia family’s matriarch, who herself is fighting off breast cancer, found refuge in God. That gave her strength. She wants others to have the same. So, she turned to her Instagram handle and shared a video of pastor Greg Laurie and wrote in the caption, “PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT. PLEASE LISTEN IF YOU FEEL LONELY.”
In the Instagram clip, the American evangelist pointed out examples of famed personalities who struggled with feelings of emptiness and loneliness. He started with Liam Payne, the One Direction star, who openly admitted to hitting rock bottom but never allowed anyone to realize it until it was too late.

In the clip, the fans could hear the late singer say in an interview, “My dad said it from day one, lonely hotel rooms. Man, getting locked in that room is not fun. I was worried how far my rock bottom was going to be. Where’s rock bottom for me, and you would never have seen it. I’m very good at hiding it.”
Laurie then noted how Tom Brady had seen an empty road ahead despite winning the Super Bowl multiple times. He reminded the listeners of the NFL star’s quote as he repeated, “Why do I have three Super Bowl rings and still think there’s something greater out there for me?” Laurie also noted the example of Lady Gaga and her hard times, who admitted to feeling “empty.” Brad Pitt also once disclosed having feelings of “desperation and loneliness”, according to the Pastor. Laurie strongly believed the answer lay in God to help us cope with these hard times.
Lisa Garcia had seen his son struggle with PTSD and anxiety, and therefore, she could understand the situation some fans might be in. ‘KingRy’ has been vocal about his mental health struggles and even revealed how his family couldn’t help him.

Ryan Garcia talked about his own struggle
Before his fight with Gervonta Davis, Garcia, 26, opened up about his mental health issues. He said, “I was hoping that the pain, the suffering I was feeling would just go away. I didn’t care about boxing, I don’t care about anything. I was hurt, I was definitely hurt devastated and I didn’t think I was gonna box anymore. But I just kept fighting.
In the same conversation, Garcia, at 24-1, stated, “In my darkest times, not even my mother could help me. I was so sad. I was so hurt. And I wish they could because I could see the pain on their faces.” Hence, the Victorville native has been one of the biggest voices for mental health awareness, given his struggles. Lisa Garcia has also been vocal about helping the fans because of what her son went through, and she wants to allow fans to share the burden.
