YouTuber turned pro-boxer Jake Paul has envisioned himself facing Canelo Alvarez for a world title, after a few years down the line.

However, the boxing universe doesn’t seem ready to buy such claims. Paul’s former promoter Eddie Hearn, who is currently working with Canelo Alvarez has also demeaned those comments. However, he showed love towards ‘The Problem Child’.

Eddie Hearn applauded Jake Paul’s move towards bagging fights against UFC elites inside the squared circle. However, the Matchroom Chairperson hilariously ruled off the YouTuber’s chances against the P4P king and currently the WBA, WBC, WBO, and Ring super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.

In a chat with Little Giant Boxing, Eddie Hearn said, “Listen, I like Jake Paul because I think what he is doing is fun. You know he is making noise, and I was very vocal that the Mayweather-Logan Paul fight was a joke.

“It was a disaster, right? But Jake Paul against these guys you know Woodley, I don’t mind it. Jake Paul is training hard, he is working hard. But let’s just calm down.

“You know he couldn’t beat most of the debutants in boxing. So, to beat the P4P king, you know definitely not. But let him do his own thing.”

3-0 as a boxer, Paul’s first two opponents were a fellow YouTuber and then a retired NBA player. However, ‘The Problem Child’ scored an impressive TKO win over ex- MMA world champion Ben Askren on his third appearance.

While Askren was not an elite-level striker, Tyron Woodley will clearly fill the void. On August 28th, Jake Paul will face the former UFC champion in a main-event, which can take him to new heights. But will it bring him closer Alvarez?

How far is Jake Paul from Canelo Alvarez?

Despite all the popularity and attention, Jake Paul is nowhere close to the current boxing ride. He hasn’t faced any professional boxers and is not even a part of the ongoing championship rides.

Meanwhile, Canelo Alvarez is on the top of the game and is looking to unify all the belts at 168lbs division.

Hence, he is no way near facing Jake Paul. However, he has already expressed bad-blood towards the YouTuber. Both men shared a brief social media banter for a long time.

A few of Jake Paul’s fans even hijacked the ring after Canelo Alvarez’s win against Avni Yildirim in February. So, the fight already has its seeds planted. Meanwhile, Paul has to prove a lot in the sport to get in a similar column with Alvarez.
