The unbeaten WBA lightweight champion, Gervonta Davis, appears confident about winning his upcoming fight against WBA super featherweight champion, Leo Santa Cruz, on October 31. It will be the first boxing event to have fan-attendance since the outbreak of COVID-19.

The fight will happen on October 31 inside the Alamodome, San Antonio, with both champions putting their respective world titles on the line. That said, anything can happen when the bell rings. Although Gervonta Davis is the favorite against Santa Cruz, that still doesn’t ensure his win.

Leo Santa Cruz is a veteran boxer who has been through several wars and has all the chances of beating Davis if he appears in the best form of his life. However, he will also have to be careful about ‘Tank’s’ raw power.

Before the super-fight, both boxers have hailed each other for accepting the fight, predicting an outcome. Despite being respectful of each other, the fight-intensity is still at its peak, and it will only settle on October 31.

Leo Santa Cruz is worried about Gervonta Davis’ power

The official Instagram handle of Showtime Boxing has recently posted a clip where both boxers have shed light on their upcoming fight. It is no surprise that they are confident and ready for a war. However, Davis and Santa Cruz are still not belittling each other’s capabilities.

While talking about ‘Tank,’ Santa Cruz said that he is a dangerous boxer. However, he has outlined a plan for him. ‘El Terremoto’ said:

“I know he is also dangerous in every round. The last round and he is still gonna be dangerous, but I think the most dangerous rounds are gonna be 1 to 6. He has the most power in everything. Like I said, you have to watch out all over the rounds until the last bell rings. You know, I have to watch out because he can catch me in any round.”

In response, Gervonta Davis said that the winner between him and Leo Santa Cruz will advance rapidly in the pound-for-pound rankings. He said, “Thank you, Leo, for stepping in and calling me out to test yourself. That just makes me feel like you have a lot of heart. You wanna fight the best. So, I felt the one out of this should be up there in pound-for-pound, if not the top-five, I believe.”
