DiBella’s father passed away in 2014 but he remembers him quite often and shares his fondest memories of him with his followers. On Twitter, DiBella revealed some advice his father gave him when social media was just starting to boom. The world of social media encourages some people to be more flamboyant and braggadocios. The same may result in them having an inflated sense of self-importance and neglecting the virtue of humility. DiBella cautioned his son to maintain distance from such “narcissistic” people many years ago.

On Twitter, DiBella stated, “I remember something my Dad told me in the early days of social media. ‘Pay no mind to narcissistic people obsessed with advertising their success and standing. Anyone who’s telling you that you want to be them is sad and uncomfortable with who they know they are.’Wise.”

His father must have had a significant impact on him that he remembers his advice years after his  passing away. However, this has not been the only instance he has quoted his father publicly.

Just over a week ago, DiBella, on Father’s Day, shared a picture of his father and remembered him. He captioned the picture, “Remembering my Dad today, with love and gratitude. Happy Father’s Day everyone.”
