Former world heavyweight champion, Mike Tyson, has made a name for himself on the silver screen. And Tyson has had no qualms about trying his luck in international cinema as well. It was recently reported that Tyson’s cameo in an Indian movie earned him a bigger payday than the lead actor.
Tyson had an extended cameo in a mixed martial arts film titled, ‘Liger’. The film, which was shot simultaneously in two regional languages, saw the former champ essaying the role of Mark Henderson.

The lead actor, Vijay Deverakonda, was reportedly paid INR 200 million (approx USD 2.5 million). While Tyson’s exact remuneration was unknown, it was reported that he was paid more than Deverakonda for his cameo.
This in fact, comes as no surprise, as bringing in a legendary former heavyweight does not come cheap.
Mike Tyson does not remember acting in Liger
There is no denying that Mike Tyson was the highest earner on the sets of Liger. But it seems like ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ does not remember acting in the movie.

Tyson was a guest at the Full Send Podcast, hosted by the NELK Boys. In conversation, he was asked about his role in Liger. Tyson, who was taken aback by the question, responded by saying, “Tell me about that. Read that back to me.”
In fact, they even went on play the trailer of the movie to him. However, much to the surprise of the hosts, the former champ failed to recognize himself in the movie. He even hilariously goes on to talk about the animal liger, even detailing his experience of seeing one up close.
