In 2021, there have been umpteen pro-boxing and exhibition bouts that have captivated everyone’s attention. That said, a couple of months back, the boxing icon, Floyd Mayweather, too, grabbed the opportunity to make an exhibition boxing appearance. He shared the ring with the YouTuber turned boxer, Logan Paul.

The fight between these two didn’t go as expected, as countless boxing fans and experts felt ‘Pretty Boy’ would knock Paul out in the initial rounds of the fight. But to everyone’s surprise, the fight went until the last bell.

Recently, Floyd Mayweather’s cousin, Dejuan Blake, who was in an exclusive interview with The Sun, revealed the real reason why this contest went to the end.

“Once again, it’s an exhibition, like Floyd said, he’s not a boxer, why would he want him to get hurt and not be able to go home and talk to his family. One punch could change the game, why would he want to hurt him like that?”

It was a great experience, a great event. We did great numbers for a non-professional fight, it was a success.” (h/t hotnewhiphop)
