The tale of Lara and Warrington goes back to 2021 when both the boxers fought each other in the first fight, which took place in February. Lara won the bout via a ninth-round knockout. After the loss to Lara, Warrington sought revenge, but he faced disappointment when they met again in the ring in September. In the second fight, ‘Bronco Lara’ incurred a cut above his eye, leading to a technical draw between the boxers.

The former IBF lightweight champion, Josh Warrington, lost his last bout against Luis Alberto Lopez via majority decision. He ended up losing his title to Lopez. However, Warrington and Lara have shown their desire for a third fight between the two to end their rivalry and settle it once and for all.
