WBA super featherweight champion Lamont Roach Jr. has a pretty big night ahead of him on March 1st at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 29-year-old Washington native is scheduled to exchange blows with WBA lightweight champion Gervonta Davis for the latter’s belt. However, it appears, Roach has caught wind of some rumors about his health floating around.
Earlier today, ‘The Reaper’ hopped on X to set the record straight about his health and clear out any concerns fans may have as he prepares to tackle the biggest night of his career. About two weeks ago, Roach’s opponent, ‘Tank’ Davis, took to social media to announce that their fight was canned for good, sparking quite a wave of confusion among fans.
This conundrum was fueled further because Davis had claimed he would retire from boxing after 2025. Davis suggested that he has grown tired of the business and wants to spend his days out of the way. However, recent updates have revealed that Davis has gone back to training camp and is busy in the gym preparing for his upcoming bout on Amazon Prime Video.
