The recent times have seen YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul on a passionate quest for a potential opponent. But Lady Luck seems to be shying away from him, as his fights with both Tommy Fury and Hasim Rahman Jr. were canceled one after the other. Meanwhile, he has also expressed his desire to fight the UFC fighter, Nate Diaz. Paul recently gave a rather interesting snippet about the showdown.

Paul was in an interview with UFC bantamweight contender, Sean O Malley. Moreover, MMA fighter Tim Welch was also present as the co-host for the episode. In conversation, Paul spoke about how Khamzat Chimaev vs Nate Diaz would help his potential fight against Diaz. He said, “It’s huge man. It’s getting closer and closer to being real. Finally, the UFC got him the fight with Khamzat.”
This was when Welch asked him about the expected weight for the fight. Paul responded by saying, “Yeah, me versus Nate will probably be at 180.”

In fact, Paul felt that the fight would pave the way for his ‘$200 million‘ showdown with UFC legend, Conor McGregor. He said, “Ok, Jake Paul beats Nate. Then, you know, it just gets closer and closer to Conor not being able to duck me anymore.”
When asked about facing both the Diaz brothers, Paul showed interest in doing the same. But he later added that it would be better if Logan Paul faces Nick Diaz instead.
Jake Paul responds to Nate Diaz
It is worth noting that Nate Diaz does not share the same enthusiasm as Jake Paul. Moreover, he even told Dana White that he has no interest in fighting Paul.
In an interview, White revealed Diaz’s response about a potential fight, “He said, ‘I would never do that.’ That’s what he said to me. He said, ‘That sh*t’s goofy.’ I don’t know. That’s what he said to me.”
