Gervonta Davis once threw shade at Keyshawn Davis in a now-deleted post. Tank said, “He’s not even worth mentioning.” Well, Keyshawn Davis wasn’t having any of it. On Valentine’s Fight Night, he silenced the critics by snatching his first WBO World title in the lightweight division with a fourth-round knockout of Denys Berinchyk. And ever since that victory, the 26-year-old’s confidence has skyrocketed. But just as things were looking up for Keyshawn Davis, a controversy came up again, involving his archenemy.
Keyshawn Davis gets caught up in Gervonta Davis’ training video
A viral post on X made waves, with many mistaking a training video for footage of Keyshawn getting beaten by Tank Davis in a training session. The internet went wild, but it turns out the caption was all wrong, spreading misinformation. Some sharp-eyed fans quickly spotted the mix-up, realizing it was actually Devin Haney, not Keyshawn Davis, in the clip. But others took the bait and ran with it. So, how did Keyshawn react to this whirlwind?

But it didn’t just stop there. Comparisons grew out of hand, leading to a strong, direct message from Keyshawn Davis. A few hours ago, Fight Hub TV shared self-recorded video of the 13-0, 9 KO on Instagram. Heavily affected by the criticism, the Tokyo Olympic Silver medalist didn’t hold himself back. He straight-up said, talking about Tank just bores him, and he’s tired of hearing people say that Tank will knock him out.
Instead, Keyshawn Davis flipped the script, saying, “Nah, I put HIM to sleep. What are y’all gonna say?” He’s not just talking the talk. He’s already asking people to practice what they’ll say when he knocks Tank out. He told asked fans to practice typing it, like a little warm-up, so when the day comes, “it’ll be so natural for y’all to text that”. Essentially, the Businessman is calling his shot and making it clear: when the fight happens, he believes he’ll be the one with his hand raised.

Shakur Stevenson off the table for Keyshawn Davis
Last year, in a video shared by Top Rank, Keyshawn Davis was asked about what he liked in Tank Davis the most. He explained, “Of course, what he impresses the most with is his knockouts, you know—unbelievable, undeniable power… Outside of that you know, he just, I feel like another good fighter from my perspective you know, his power shows.”
But after collecting his WBO World title, Keyshawn’s tone shifted. People were wondering what was next for the rising Lightweight prospect after the historic victory. The obvious question? A showdown with Gervonta “Tank” Davis, considering their long-standing rivalry.
When asked about facing Tank, he simply said, “Y’all tell me.” So, is he brushing off the challenge, or does he think Tank is an easy target? However, he made it clear he wouldn’t fight his brother-like Shakur Stevenson. So, with the Newark native’s name out of the picture, he could also move up a weight class and settle his beef with Teofimo Lopez.

Moreover, what’s interesting is the fact that even Terence Crawford spoke in favour of The Businessman. During a visit to Madison Square Garden for the 13-0 boxer’s fight, Crawford was approached by Fight Hype for a quick chat. There, the WBA Super welterweight revealed that Shakur Stevenson and Keyshawn are the ones to rain on Tank’s parade and “give him his first L”.
With Tank’s upcoming fight against Lamont Roach Jr. in a few hours, the next chapter is about to unfold. Who do you think will come out on top if the two Davises step into the ring? Let us know your thoughts below!
