Kell Brook had to come across several doubters before he silenced them in style by stopping Amir Khan in round six of their 12-round headliner. Brook seemed flawless in the ring and put pressure on his opponent from the very beginning. Although people envisioned the fight to be a close contest, Brook turned it into a lopsided affair in his favor.

‘The Special One’ poleaxed Khan and earned his 40th pro-win, which shall remain as a career-defining moment in his boxing ride. Well, Brook opened up about some uncanny occurrences after claiming his much-needed victory. His statements clearly reflected how Brook had to deal with outer-ring drama before dominating the actual show.

Brook shook several fans with his performance, but what became more shocking was his recent revelations of being bullied before the in-ring scrap. Nevertheless, he still found a way to win.

Kell Brook said, “I even had to put different gloves on in the ring. That doesn’t happen. I done all the things they wanted me to do and I still took him apart… They tried to get into my head. I even had someone knocking on my hotel door at 3/4am this morning to disrupt my sleep.”

Well, Amir Khan didn’t back off from trash-talking Kell Brook before locking horns in the ring. Khan was extremely confident about getting the win. That said, he even enjoyed a bigger PPV share and guaranteed purse than ‘The Special One’.

All of it still didn’t help him to topple the fight. While Kell Brook has now cemented his superiority over Khan, he can aim for some more fights. Meanwhile, Khan has hinted at a full-time retirement from boxing, already.

Following his recent win, Brook has grabbed Chris Eubank Jr’s attention. That can be another classic fight between two elite Brit pugilists. However, ‘The Special One’ may re-consider his plans if he wants to run for a world championship shot again. He can have his attempt, but the division is currently under the reign of A-class superstars: Terence Crawford, Errol Spence Jr, and Yordenis Ugas.
