Undisputed lightweight champion Katie Taylor will take on Miriam Gutierrez on November 14 in a historic fight card. This is the first time that an entire main card will feature only women fighters. The undefeated Irish superstar will take on Spanish contender Miriam Gutierrez and defend all four belts. So who will come out on top? Let’s take a closer look into the fight.

Taylor comes into the fight as the clear frontrunner, and her record of 16-0 shows why she is the favorite. The 34-year-old is coming off a controversial win against Delfine Persoon in their rematch and will head into the fight with a point to prove. The undefeated champion has age and speed on her side and will look to use it to her advantage against the Spaniard.

Gutierrez, on the other hand, is slick and powerful. She is the taller fighter by two-and-a-half inches and is coming off a unanimous decision win against Karen Batiz. The 37-year-old will look to test Taylor’s chin and try to break down ‘The Bray Bomber’ over the course of the fight. She will be looking to maintain her unbeaten record and by no means will Gutierrez let Taylor dominate the fight.

Our prediction for the Katie Taylor vs Miriam Gutierrez Fight

Given the styles of the two fighters and their experience, it will be a close fight and one that will go the distance. Taylor has shown her ability to take punches in the fight against Persoon and also displayed exemplary ring management when on the back foot. Gutierrez has shown that she can keep the pressure on for the full duration of the fight.

Both fighters will land their shots. With this being said, Taylor is a little more experienced and has fought better caliber opponents. It will be a hard test, but the Irishwoman will have enough to get the win. Gutierrez, however, will put on a fantastic fight, worthy of a main event. She may even hurt Taylor like no one has before.

However, we think Katie Taylor will win this fight via unanimous decision. It all goes down on November 14. Who do you think will win?
