It is scheduled for July 20 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. So unlike the first fight, they might not be entering history on their own. But still, the event, where their bout features as the co-main fight, carries the weight of historical proportions. However, some of the fans were not too happy about this development.

On her X/Twitter handle, ‘The Real Deal’ wrote how she had promised her fans a rematch with Katie Taylor. She wanted it to be a twelve-round (each lasting 3 minutes) fight. However, the Irish champion insisted on continuing with the standard ten-round (of 2 minutes each) format. So Serrano mentioned that since Taylor’s title was at stake, it was decided to follow what the light welterweight champion demanded.

‘The Real Deal’ said, “I believe I won our first fight, but I didn’t get the decision. This time, I’m not leaving it to the judges. No more, sweet Serrano. War mentality activated. A few minutes before her message, Ariel Helwani laid out the details: “Breaking: Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 2 will serve as the co-main event on the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson card on July 20 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX. The fight will be for Taylor’s undisputed gold at 140 and will be contested over 10, 2 minute rounds.”

He shared how both Taylor and Serrano fought out an all-time classic in April 2022. Now Netflix will air their rematch, which will take place in front of what many expect to be a huge crowd at the AT&T Stadium. But do fans think that the bout should be relegated to a co-main event?
