A brief clip tweeted by Hotboxin’ with Mike Tyson has caught the champion talking about a Big Daddy Kane incident. In the presence of DJ Whoo Kid, Tyson narrates a tale that goes way back to his youth. As he sits there, laid back, he describes a Big Daddy Kane fight that happened live on the radio.

“I remember, back when I was in my youth. Somebody had said something about Big Daddy Kane. And then like 30 minutes later, he is talking on the radio, and then next thing you know… Kane beat that @#&** @#&** on the air,” narrates an excited Mike Tyson gesturing with his body and fingers.

The 55-year-old goes on imitating the sounds and blows he heard drop on the unfortunate guy on the radio. As he makes a pause, DJ Whoo Kid asks him if Big Daddy Kane ever admitted or talked about it. To which Mike Tyson emphatically throws, “We heard him on the radio beating the guy’s a**!”
The embrace of the 80s
The 80s in which the former world heavyweight champion grew up certainly saw the rise of some unwavering stars. Take Mike Tyson, for example. The ‘Kid Dynamite’ made his debut in professional boxing at the young age of only 18 in 1985. And then won the first 19 fights of his career by knockout. Unbelievably, 12 of those huge wins came in the very first round.

Tyson held his first title belt at the age of only 20. And the rest we know is pure history ascribed to the legendary Mike Tyson. Certainly, there was something viciously beautiful about that time, the 80s. Those who lived would know, and those who didn’t would learn from the tales.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper Big Daddy Kane, who gave his fans hits such as The Symphony and Very Special, is indeed an amazing artist. The 80s will be remembered and so will be its people.
