Ramon Alvarez, the older brother of Canelo Alvarez is himself a professional boxer. The 36-year-old made his professional debut in 2008 and has 41 bouts under his belt. Recently, he fought Erislandy Lara who had previously fought Alvarez. In their bout in 2014, Alvarez managed to sweep a split-decision victory.
In the year 2019, to avenge his loss, Lara fought his older brother and knocked him out cold. Inside two rounds, Lara managed to get a beautiful finish. While, another on similar lines mentioned that out of all the Alvarez brothers, only Canelo truly has boxing acumen. @Polk14: “Neither Ramon, Ricardo or Rigoberto had the chops that Canelo has. On the contrary, one fan was in awe of the fact that Lara still competes. @Kind_Owl_6808: “Lara was at one time a deeply dangerous world class fighter. Floyd retired the first time when there was a lot of talk about Floyd/Lara at 154. Would have been a great fight. Shocking that Lara is still fighting.”
