‘Just Keep Collecting the Bags’: Logan Paul Offers Support to Floyd Mayweather Despite Not Getting Paid

American YouTube sensation Logan Paul locked horns with boxing legend Floyd Mayweather in 2021. Later, he accused Mayweather of not paying him his share of the money. However, recently Paul shed some light on Mayweather’s recent exhibition bout against Deji and revealed that he respects Mayweather for what he is doing. 

Floyd Mayweather is the only A-list boxer who engages so actively in exhibition matches. His latest fight with Deji was his fifth exhibition fight since his retirement. Boxing fans have been criticizing Mayweather for fighting just for the money. Logan Paul on the other hand, has a different say in this.   

Paul stated, “Floyd is just collecting a check which I actually respect. As much as I joke ,in my opinion, Floyd, I think you should keep this model up for as long as you can. Like take flat fee from a  wealthy country, let people see the great Floyd Mayweather box someone who sucks or not gonna be beat you and just keep collecting the bags.”

Fans loved the exhibition fight between Paul and Mayweather. The fact that there were two athletes with such sizable fan bases indicated that a significant sum of money was at stake. After the bout, Paul admitted on Instagram that Mayweather had not given him his cut of the proceeds.

Logan Paul postpones his boxing return 

‘The Maverick’ inked a multiyear contract with the WWE a few months before. Within a very short period, he gained a sizeable fanbase in the WWE. Paul fought WWE superstar Roman Reigns at the Crown Jewel earlier this month. It was an exciting match, but the ‘Tribal Chief’ emerged to be the winner at the end. 

Logan Paul was supposed to make his boxing return in January. However, he suffered a severe knee injury during his fight with Reigns. Reportedly, he tore his MCL meniscus, which stands in the way of Paul making his boxing comeback. He had revealed some time back that he would fight on the same card as his business partner and good friend, KSI. But now the possibilities of his return are hampered due to the injury.
