It seems there is a change in plan. The date is set, and the contract is signed, but it’s not Devin Haney. Ryan Garcia has a new target in sight. Before the American boxer endeavors to clinch the WBC super lightweight title, he wants to settle some business with Bill Haney. Against the scathing remarks of the Haney family lynchpin, he wants to pull some punches.

Before ‘KingRy’ heads into the war zone with Devin Haney on April 20, he is cherishing some moments away from his training camp. That includes spending a weekend away from Dallas and Derrick James in favor of a Super Bowl weekend. But the American boxer is not shying away from painting a target at Bill Haney and unloading some amusing remarks.

Ryan Garcia turned to his X handle and played around with the significance of his next fight date, 20/4. He then issued a hilarious comment as he wrote, “4-20 we will be smoking on that Bill Haney Pack #SuperBowl.” Following this, the 25-year-old took the friction against the Haney family head honcho and gave it a comical spin. He released a poster of his fight against Bill Haney and announced, “Let’s go! JUST IN! BREAKING NEWS!”

While the tensions between the California native and the Haney family are soaring, Garcia is enjoying his Super Bowl weekend. He is keeping a close eye on the developments and is in town to attend this year’s showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. Garcia already has stakes in the match, as he decided to shell out a hundred thousand dollars.
