Out of the blue, a special announcement informed 18,000 people who bought tickets that Serrano was declared “medically unfit” by the Puerto Rican Boxing Commission.

According to the official statement by MVP, Serrano sustained an eye injury yesterday. And although Serrano insisted on fighting “in front of her hometown“, the commission did not permit ‘The Real Deal’. In this context, several fans took to X and shared their opinions about the situation.

Meanwhile, MVP acknowledged that the cancellation “equally” affected Nina Meinke. Therefore, they promised to pay Meinke her “fight purse in full“. Additionally, MVP promised to provide full refunds for those in attendance.

Anyway, taking to X, one complained that they “got the whole country gassed for nothing“.

Crowd boos, Amanda cries, Jake stands for Serrano

Having entered the ring, wearing a sunglass, an emotional Serrano said, “I came ready to fight. But, the doctor did not clear me. I wanted to fight in front of my people.” While some lauded her spirit, several attendees booed Serrano. At this, Jake Paul took a stand for his fighter. “Listen, I know there are people booing. But, Amanda came to fight,” said Paul.
