In his recent statement, Conor Benn questioned the WBC citing, “egg contamination” as the likely cause of the 26-year-old failing his VADA tests. According to Benn, the WBC statement has done him a “disservice“. While the WBC statement was based upon a “scientific review of the testing procedures“, Benn, in his statement, claims that the report prepared by his team contained an extensive analysis of both tests which located “fundamental flaws and irregularities“.

Following Benn’s statement and an interview with Piers Morgan, talkSPORT correspondent Michael Benson expressed bewilderment. In a tweet, he said, “Conor Benn needs to face the BBBofC/UKAD investigation into his positive drugs tests, it’s that simple. Even he doesn’t accept the WBC’s “highly-elevated consumption of eggs” explanation, so what is everyone supposed to do? Just believe he’s innocent because he said it on TV?”
The boxing world doubts the innocence of Connor Benn as the latter rejects WBC’s explanation
In his recent interview with Piers Morgan, verbally reiterating his innocence, Benn, who felt like being on death row, spoke about how the reports that branded him a cheat “hurt” him. In addition, he claimed to be suicidal as his reputation in the sport was put at stake. He thought he would not see another day and accused “somebody else’s incompetence” of ruining the image that he built and maintained.
In this matter, a fan named @ZENKHI is of the same view as Benson. He demanded Benn “take the ban”. According to him, Benn’s got “serious issues” and looked more guilty as he jumped on TV.
Exactly. Just take the ban. He’s got serious issues. Jumped on tv and looked even more guilty. I have to watch the full interview now.

However, given how often boxers and other sportsmen are tested, @sizzlerbuckie finds it hard to believe that they would willingly/knowingly consume banned substances.
Given how often boxers, and other sportsmen are tested. I find it hard to believe they are willingly / knowingly taking banned performance enhancement substances.

Meanwhile, a user with the ID @D555555D agrees with what Benson has to say. He branded the entire scene as a “farce” and called into question Benn’s indignation and aggressiveness.
Agreed. The whole thing is a farce. I am not even judgmental about the drug use. I suspect most fighters have used, in their career. The bad part is his indignation, and being aggressive to those who doubt him. Few things are more annoying than the guilty, claiming to be a victim

Meanwhile, @HenkeKingOKings stated, “Yeah. We’re all supposed to believe that VADA tampered with at least 3 of his hot tests so far, because he [Conor Benn] said so.”
Yeah. We're all supposed to belive that VADA tampered with at least 3 of his hot tests so far, because he said so.

However, a fan named BernieWood, who has read and listened to Conor Benn believes in the latter’s side of the story. According to them, he [Benn] “wouldn’t gamble on his career by taking anything knowingly“.
I've read and listened to @ConorNigel side of the story and I believe him 💯 it sounds like he has been fucked over. Well to many errors on the testing front. Also believe he wouldn't gamble on his career by taking anything knowingly.
