Camacho has taken the boxing world by storm with his strong foundation and his technical skills. The 28-year-old boxer’s boxing prowess has ensured he boasts an impressive record of 17-1 with 8 KOs. The Puerto Rican fighter could be labeled as a perfect mix of technical superiority and ability to churn out wins after grueling 10-round affairs. He is also not short on punching power, Camacho’s KO ratio of 47.06% suggests his punches do substantial damage when they land. But he prefers to take the fight to distance and outskill and outclass his opponents.

But when you look at the Ponce native’s dimensions, they are not threatening or imposing but he utilized them to the maximum. He has an average height of 5’4″ (163 cm) according to the division. Rather, it’s his long levers and his long reach of 68.0″ (173 cm) that put him at an advantage. However, Camacho might fight it hard to employ his weapons against Mama.

Mama, at 27, is the younger of the two but has already fought more fights than him. What’s more? He has proved his worth and is among the top fighters in the division. The Filipino fighter, similar to his foe, has a sole blemish on his career that came against Sunny Edwards in a world championship endeavor back in 2021. But he has seen improved his skills and is on a four-fight win streak, improving his record to 20-1 with 10 KOs. What’s more? He grew up watching Manny Pacquiao and adopted some of his skills.

That’s why the General Santos City native unloads heavy shots while coming forward. The same is reflected in his KO ratio of 50%. Besides, he shares the identical height with Camacho at 5’4″ (163 cm) but has a reach disadvantage at 63.0″ (160 cm). Will it pose difficulty for him to execute his game plan?

Prediction: Who wins it?

What separates Camacho from the rest? It’s his durability. He undoubtedly has a strong chin. While his chin can take some blows, he was in trouble in his fight with Fernando Diaz. It’s here that he shines, as has the mental fortitude to stay calm and recover from it, instead of letting his knockdown consume him. You can also look at ‘El Indio’s resume and his fights with the likes of Lucas Fernandez Leone and Carlos Buitrago, with different styles and skill levels, and yet he stuck to his game plan and evolved it with changing fight and circumstance.

Mama, on the other hand, is your typical stand-and-exchange puncher, who likes to keep on putting constant pressure and rely on his powerful blows to gain ground in the fight. He stands true to his moniker- ‘The Smasher’. It has worked for him largely but he has struggled with fighters with good and quick footwork and it’s his stationary tendency that cost him the world title against Edwards.

But Mama has since turned the tides and made adjustments. His recent win over Carlo Demecillo and his capture of the WBF Super Flyweight Title with a stellar performance bears testament to it. So, the fight with Camacho will turn out to be a classic. Since Mama has reconstructed his boxing style, has more experience, and has fought at the world championship level along with his edge in power, we have him winning this fight. But Camacho could put Mama on the ropes and make sure he has a long night in the office.
