You name it, Tyson Fury has achieved it. The fame, the glory, prestige, and wealth. However, as the saying goes, ‘All good things come to an end.’ The Gypsy King’ has contemplated retirement for a long time. Not to mention, he did retire last year. Even when he left fighting, fighting did not leave him and he made a comeback in December of last year.

Moreover, in a recent turn of events, ahead of his cross-over bout, Fury’s father, John Fury, asserted that he did not want him to continue fighting for long. But, why did he say that?

It is no secret that Fury is an entertaining fighter. Both inside the ring and outside. He has his way with words that entertains the fans and his prestige increases the stakes. Moreover, it is always a spectacle to witness his fights and his upcoming bout is no exception. While reflecting on the same, John Fury urged fans around the world to appreciate the greatness of his legendary son.

In an interview with IFLTV, he stated, “You are going to miss him when he is gone. You are going to miss all this when he is gone. At the end of the day, enjoy while he is here. He got 7 babies, wife, he got his brothers, he got me.” 

Indeed, with his entertaining trash-talking, and superb boxing prowess, Fury has given what the fans wanted for years and continues to do so.  In the same interview, he added that he does not wish to see him fight for long. He stated, “We need him, and I not going to let him endanger his life.” Needless to say, Fury has his father’s support through and through if he finds it appropriate to retire in the future. What motivates Tyson Fury now?

Fury has proven himself to be one of the greatest heavyweights of all time. Yet, he continues to fight. Why you ask? Well, because of financial incentives. In an interview, reflecting upon the same, he stated, “If I didn’t fight again from tonight if I didn’t fight on Saturday, if I didn’t fight anybody else, I am done. I’m very happy. I do not give one high hooter about fighting anybody else. I’m not interested at all. I’m only doing this now for the paychecks, nothing else.”
