The battle between steaks and tofu shows no sign of ceasing anytime soon. Former four-division world champion, Canelo Alvarez, revealed that he is sticking to a vegan diet ahead of his clash with Dmitry Bivol.

Talking about his diet, Canelo Alvarez said that he feels very energetic and strong because of the diet. He further adds that his stomach has been taking the diet well and that he would recommend it.

Recently, Joe revealed the dire health consequences of a vegan diet. Rogan was hosting the ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ with the chef, Michael Hunter.

In conversation, Rogan compared veganism to religion. He said, “It’s an ideological battle. And in that sense veganism becomes very much like a religion.”

Rogan further spoke about how the practitioners treat non-vegans. He added, “The people that are opposed to you or like apostates. They’re the negative people that are trying to bring you to the dark side, to hell.”

He also spoke about the serious health problems that vegans might face. He said, “The negative thing is that most of them are eating diets that are far too carbohydrate rich. And if they’re not getting their blood checked they don’t even know how unhealthy they are.”

Rogan gave special emphasis to hormonal imbalances in vegans. He mentioned, “A lack of cholesterol can f*** with your hormone functions. A lot of vegans have low hormones because of that.”

Canelo Alvarez is sticking to the vegan diet in the fight camp ahead of his upcoming fight.

Alvarez’s decision has caused quite a furor among fans. Many fans criticized his decision.

A fan @fer_1279 was pretty direct with his opinion about the outcome of Alvarez’s diet. He exclaimed, “Damn he gonna lose now.”

Similarly, another fan was also clear about the result of Alvarez’s upcoming fight.

A fan @EddieRoyce23 was quick to point out the nutritional deficiencies that Alvarez might face.

However, there were a few users who drew comparisons to the alleged use of anabolic stimulants by boxers.

A user @Johndoylerealty exclaimed, “Anabolic steroids are vegan after all.”

Similarly, a fan @vic_delrio  hilariously drew emphasis on the alleged usage of an illegal fat-shredding substance.

However, one of the most hysterical comments was from a user @owen02_. He spoke about Alvarez’s failed drug test, specifically referring to it as Mexican beef.
