Jake Paul will face Mike Tyson on July 20th at the famous colossal AT&T Stadium in Texas. Amidst the buzz, a doctor’s warning to Tyson about a subdural hematoma has surfaced, adding a layer of concern. This matchup, blending youth with experience, has everyone talking.

Previously, Jake Paul expressed a provocative stance, hinting at the lucrative spectacle a fight with Mike Tyson could generate. The Problem Child boldly stated his willingness to “bulk up to heavyweight and fight Mike Tyson,” framing it as an electrifying event that could captivate millions and generate substantial revenue. This declaration now sets the stage for a clash that’s as much about the spectacle as it is about the sport.
This was candidly captured in a conversation between Joe Rogan and Mike Tyson on Rogan’s podcast more than a year ago. Rogan, with his characteristic directness, asked Tyson about his reaction to being called out by someone like Jake Paul. “When you get challenged by someone who’s a guy like Jake Paul, does that piss you off?” he inquired.
Tyson’s response was unexpectedly gracious. “No, it doesn’t. I think it’s awesome, it’s cool,” Tyson remarked. Rogan, acknowledging the layered complexities of such a callout, noted, “That’s awesome that you handle it that way, because like in a way I mean it’s kind of insulting. It’s brave, it’s bold of him, but it’s also it’s like Jesus Christ there’s levels to this world.”
However, Mike Tyson wasn’t too bothered if something of that nature were to happen. He conveyed that it would even be flattering. Tyson explained that he has come to learn not to take himself too seriously and how being too full of oneself can eventually turn the world against you.

However, there is still a question of Mike Tyson’s safety when it comes to fighting a boxer, 30 years younger than him. Now that it’s a reality, it comes as a huge risk for Mike, which was also confirmed by Doctor Stephen Hughes in The Conversationist.

Is it safe for Mike given his age?
The eagerly anticipated clash between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul is overshadowed by serious health concerns, particularly for Tyson, given his age and past health challenges. Dr. Stephen Hughes, a prominent medical expert, articulates the heightened risks Tyson faces, especially considering his history with alcoholism. He points out, “A subdural hematoma can occur, leading to confusion, loss of consciousness, neurological disability, or even death.”
Hughes underscores the vulnerability due to Tyson’s past, noting, “In older individuals, brain shrinkage makes the bridging veins more susceptible to rupture.” This stark warning highlights the potential severe consequences of the match, as Tyson steps back into the ring, notably without the protection of a headgear.
