British heavyweight Joe Joyce lost his recent bout to his Chinese opponent Zhilei Zhang. Despite being the underdog going into the fight, Zhang did not let that affect his performance and proved to have a lethal left hand for Joyce. Zhang won the fight via technical knockout, giving Joyce an injury to the eye. The severity of the injury remained a concern for the boxing world. Joyce’s eye looked so bad at the moment that former world champion Yordenis Ugas weighed in and compared Joyce’s injury to his. As a mandatory checkup, Joyce had to get his eye checked at the hospital.

Joyce went to the hospital right after the fight to check the damage Zhang did to his eye.  And it seems like Joyce’s results are out, something the fans have been waiting for.

The former WBO interim champion, Joyce, went to the hospital after the conclusion of the fight. Specifically, to check for any fractures to his eye and examine the damage Zhang did during their tightness. And his results are out for the fans.

Michael Benson from talkSPORT took to Twitter to give a medical update on Joe Joyce. The heavyweight’s team has confirmed that he didn’t suffer any fractures in his eye. He went to the hospital at the earliest, and his health checkups went well. The 37-year-old’s eye was a topic of discussion during the fight. But now, Joyce is absolutely fine.

The fans were not expecting the fight between Joyce and Zhang to end as it did. This shows the unpredictability of the sport for the fans. And, despite his loss to the Chinese, Joyce will look forward to healing well and being at his top game before returning to the ring to redeem himself.

The list of Joyce’s next opponents is long. And it is safe to say that after his loss to Zhang. Joyce will be eager to return to the ring and win. Earlier, Joyce only had Zhang in his way to fight the names such as Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. But, now Joyce will have to prove himself before he gets a chance at these heavyweights.
