The atmosphere beside the ring heated a few moments before the welterweight clash between Spence and Ugas. The boxers who arrived for the event as the spectators involved themselves in a quarrel.
According to sources, the dispute started when ‘The Hitman‘ shouted at Benavidez’s father, Jose Benavidez Sr.
David Benavidez didn’t take this lightly. As a result, he pounced on Charlo. Meanwhile, the surrounding crowd separated both the boxers to avoid any further consequences.

In an interview with Fight Hub TV, Charlo opened up about his views on fighting Benavidez. He said, ” If Benavidez can make 160, we can do it.”
Charlo expects Benavidez to drop his weight down to 160 if he wants sign for a match.
On the other side, David Benavidez talks a fact about Charlo. He feels that Charlo is ducking and gives his reasons for it.
During an interview with FightHype, he was asked about the probability of him fighting Charlo. Replying to the question, he said, ” He wants to fight, he’s saying he’s not going up to 68, but he keeps calling out Canelo. Canelo said he’s not going down to 160.”
According to Benavidez Charlo is ducking Benavidez because on one the side, he talks about facing Canelo Alvarez who is currently weighing higher and won’t come down to 160.
