Jeff Mayweather on Losing Touch With Floyd – “And So Those People Now Are More His Family Than I’m His Family or His Dad Is a Family”

Floyd Mayweather stays in the news with all of his boxing activities, business ventures, and more. Even after signing off from the sport in 2017, ‘TBE’ has hit the right chord when it comes to staying relevant to the sport. Many times Mayweather still makes headlines for his boxing brilliance and other activities. However, at times, the GOAT is in the news for some bizarre reasons.

Recently, his uncle, Jeff Mayweather, was in interaction with Fred Talks Fighting. Here, he opened up on not staying too much connected to ‘Pretty Boy.’

He said, “I haven’t talked to him in, its been a long time since we talked because I mean he’s been extremely extremely busy and so I just see him in passing, I don’t actually, we don’t actually hang out, and go to eat together and stuff like that, no we don’t do that because he has so many people in his life.” 

“So many people that’s a part of his circle. Like that circle becomes your family. And so those people now are more his family than I’m his family or his dad is a family.”

Mayweather after his retirement did not just relish his time because he could go on vacations or take long layoffs. To date, he manages his business, hits the gym to stay in shape, and so much more. That said, it becomes tough for someone of his level to stay close to each individual.

However, ‘TBE’ tries his best to maintain his bonds with anyone and everyone that matters to him.

Mayweather has his own promotions company, Mayweather Promotions, and, through this ‘Pretty Boy’ looks to bring in some notable talent to this side of combat sports.

That said, talent sorting isn’t easy, and Mayweather spends some extensive time carving the best fighters in the gym.

On top of all this, ‘Pretty Boy’ also takes up exhibition bouts to bank some colossal paychecks, alongside fulfilling his love for fighting.
