What is the meaning behind Javon Walton’s nickname ‘Wanna’?

In an interview with ‘Vulture’ a few years ago, Walton explained that the background of his nickname came from his childhood. As a child, the 18-year-old wanted to try everything that was in front of him. He recalled, “I was always like, ‘I wanna do this, I wanna do that. I wanna be a man,” with excitement in his voice.

His family encouraged his enthusiasm and ambitious nature to do and achieve everything into ‘Wanna’ and it has been his nickname since then. The same carried itself into boxing as well. The nickname reflects his interest and drive to excel at everything he tries, and Javon Walton lives by his nickname. Javon Walton demonstrates his ethics and passion in everything he pursues, which enables him to excel in both boxing and the entertainment industry.

It was his want and desire that forced his parents to enroll him in a boxing gym at the age of 4. The 18-year-old developed a passion for boxing while watching it with his parents. They set no limitations on his ambitions, and his father, DJ Walton, actively took on the role of his head coach, guiding him through all of his matches.

‘Wanna’ would now like to get back into that win column as he still has big aspirations for his boxing career even after taking the Hollywood path to stardom.
