A few years ago, ahead of his fight against Custio Clayton, Jaron Ennis announced to the world that “I’m coming to win in dominating fashion and get the knockout. I’m ready to take over this division.” Since then, he has done nothing but win and has been true to his promise. He became the IBF Welterweight champion last year after Terence Crawford vacated the belt to jump to 154. After a successful defense against David Avanesyan, Boots is ready to take the next step.
On November 9, 2024, the Philadelphia native will defend his IBF welterweight title for the second time against Karen Chukhadzhian. During their first encounter, Ennis dominated the Ukrainian to earn a victory via unanimous decision, with a score of 120-108 by all three judges. That was his first step towards glory as he clinched the interim IBF welterweight title. This time, he would like to continue his undefeated run and climb up the ladder for the inevitable unification bout with WBO Welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr.
With 29 knockouts in 32 matches, Jaron Ennis would like to add another knockout to his resume, something which he was not able to do last time against Chukhadzhian. He would like to do that once again and sway the crowd with his walkout music and get them behind, something he has done amazingly well in all his fights. While the Philadelphia native has not revealed his song for the rematch against Chukhazhdian, let’s relive some of his past sensational walkouts.

Thomas Dulorme
Over the years, the 32-0 boxer has always chosen something sensational, upbeat, and unique as his walkout theme. For his fight against Thomas Dulorme in October 2021, in Las Vegas, he chose a custom track named “Juice,” in which he lent his own vocals alongside the artist Nilo. The music hyped up the fight and pumped up the fans, who cheered the Philadelphia native at the top of their lungs. Riding on the high of his entrance, Ennis delivered a first-round knockout to establish himself as a top prizefighter in the 147.

In his first defense of the IBF interim Welterweight championship against Roiman Villa in July 2023, Ennis changed the whole vibe of the Boardwalk Hall with the spiritual “Goodness of God” track by CeCe Winans from the album “Belief for It”. The gospel community widely uses this popular track in churches and other worship settings. The powerful divine song was a blessing as Boots defeated Villa via a 10th-round knockout.

David Avanesyan
For the biggest fight of his career, Jaron Ennis came out prepared. He faced David Avanesyan in his first title defense after being promoted as the full IBF Welterweight champion on July 12, 2024. The whole Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania came to a still when Boots came out on a mix of the WWE Hall of Fame Undertaker’s theme song ‘Rest In Peace’ and ‘Dreams and Nightmares’ song by Meek Mill. Unlike Undertaker, Ennis continued his undefeated streak as he won the fight via a fifth-round corner stoppage.
