According to reports, Matchroom Boxing, which promotes ‘Boots’ has secured a brilliant deal for their fighter. According to ‘The Ring,’ the promotional company was trying to get hold of a 90-10 purse split between the fighters. But thankfully for the challenger, the IBF intervened and Matchroom had to settle for a 65-35 split with P2M-Box Promotion, who won the bid of $2,000,053.10.
It was a bitter blow for Matchroom Boxing and Eddie Hearn as it forced their boxer to fight on a rival’s purse bid. Earlier, Hearn and Matchroom were trying to secure a match against WBO Welterweight champion Brian Norman Jr. for a title unification fight. But as the deal fell through, the bid for the mandatory challenger fight went on and Matchroom somehow fumbled that as well. There were even rumors that Boots would relinquish the title rather than fight on a purse won by his opponent’s promotion, but thankfully that did not happen.
According to the agreement, Jaron Ennis is going to earn $1,300,034.52, while Chukhadzhian will earn $700,018.58 from the purse split as the mandatory challenger. This marks a significant downfall in salary for Boots, who earned almost twice in his first title defense against David Avanesyan.

According to reports, Matchroom won the bidding war for his fight against Avanesyan in July this year, who was a last-minute replacement for Cody Crowley. The promotional company won the bidding at $3.9 million, giving the Philadelphia native his highest-ever payout at approximately $3.315 million.
The 32-0 boxer started his career in 2016 and has been climbing the rank ever since. He secured the IBF welterweight title in 2023, which significantly boosted his earnings. According to several reports, right before his first defense as the full-time champion. Jaron Ennis earned $125,000 for his fight against Roiman Villa for the IBF Interim Welterweight championship.
Even before that, for his title eliminator fight against Custio Clayton, the IBF scheduled a purse bid to determine the promotional rights for the fight even though it was not necessary. According to Jaron Ennis, with the purse split in his favor, he earned $400,000 from the purse of $500,000.

On the other hand, this will be Chukhadzhian’s biggest payout to date. Most of his salary history remains limited since he spent several years fighting on European circuits and actively competed in amateur matches until recently. But for his title eliminator match in May this year against Harry Scarff, the purse bid was around $141,305 which was won by Wasserman.
However, since the 24-2 boxer has turned professional his earnings have remarkably improved. His rematch with Jaron Ennis is surely going to give him much exposure that could increase his potential earnings in the future if he continues to fight on the U.S. cards.
