Jake Paul has stunned the boxing world by scoring back-t0-back knockouts against fighters, who earlier had combat sports backgrounds. Now, when the Ohio-based boxer has gained some confidence in his skills, he is going to take a shot against a professional boxer, Hasim Rahman Jr, son of former heavyweight champ and ex-sparring partner of The Problem Child.
The duo is set to face off in an August 6 showdown at Madison Square Garden in New York. Since Rahman Jr is more experienced and skilled in comparison to Paul, therefore, fight-fixing allegations are back in play because Paul is too confident of his win.
Recently, when media personnel asked Paul’s opponent about fight fixing, he seriously turned down such rumors by saying that he did want to disrespect his father and the sport he loves.
Recalling his father’s fight with heavyweight legend Evander Holyfield, Rahman Jr. added, “My father could have died. He really put his life on the line. You really think I’m a disrespect not only to my father but the sport I love, the sport that put me through private school, the sport that has afforded me not to ever want for anything I’ve never wanted anything ever in my life because of boxing.”
