Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions are leaving no stone unturned to promote the upcoming fight between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul. From numerous interviews to three episodes-long behind-the-scenes docuseries on Netflix, the promotion has done everything to make this one of the biggest boxing events of all time. The pressure is not only on the two fighters to perform but also on the promotional team.

Amidst such chaos and pressure, there is a high chance that a slight mistake could be made. A few days ago, the MVP social media team posted a “tale of the favs” graphic showing Mike Tyson and Jake Paul’s favorite sports personalities with a glaring mistake. The Problem Child saw the mistake and was evidently furious, forcing MVP to come clean on the transgression.

A few days ago, in the “tale of the favs” post, Jake Paul listed his favorite athlete as Marc-André Leclerc, but the graphics team accidentally misspelled the name in the image as Marc Andrew Leclerc. El Gallo himself saw the mistake and corrected it in the comments but his anger had clearly not subsided by just that.

So, during the open workout, when Jake Paul came face-to-face with the social media member who was responsible for the graphics error, his disdain became evident. The Problem Child glared at the team member and gave him a vexed look. He was still furious about the transgression and MVP had to come clean about the mistake.

MVP posted the two-second interaction between Jake Paul and the MVP member and accepted their mistake. The caption on their post read, “On November 9th, 2024, MVP’s social media team posted a “tale of the favs” graphic which showed the Paul vs Tyson fighters favourites across a plethora of categories. Jake Paul listed his favorite athlete as Marc Andre Le Clerc , however, the social team accidentally spelt it “Marc Andrew Leclerc.”

The post also acknowledged the fact that this was the “first in-person interaction between Jake and the social media member that made the transgression,” which makes things really awkward for the team member.

Talking about the graphic in question, the post revealed various things about Mike Tyson, Jake Paul, and other fighters on the card—from their favorite boxer to their favorite web series on Netflix. So, let’s take a brief look at that.

Tale Of The Favs!

The graphic revealed that the unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk was Jake Paul’s favorite boxer. Meanwhile, Mike Tyson chose legendary “Manos de Piedra” Roberto Duran as his favorite boxer. Duran is considered one of the greatest fighters of all time and ruled the boxing world for more than three decades. With 103 wins in his career, very few boxers can come close to the legacy of the Hands of Stone.

El Gallo chose Marc-André Leclerc, the legendary Canadian alpinist and rock climber as his favorite athlete. His ascents of Patagonia and the Canadian Rockies are some of the toughest climbs a person could do. Leclerc tragically passed away at the tender age of 25 in March 2018 while doing an ascent of the Mendenhall Towers in Alaska alongside his climbing partner Ryan Johnson. The 2021 documentary film The Alpinist captures his short but adventurous life.

On the other hand, Mike Tyson unsurprisingly chose his idol Muhammad Ali as his favorite athlete. The 58-year-old grew up watching Ali in action and admired everything about Ali. Tyson has admitted several times on national television that he not only admired Ali for his in-ring abilities but also for his principles and social activism.

But the surprising thing was when both Tyson and Paul chose St.Barth as their favorite vacation spot. So, it won’t be a surprise if we see both of them having a vacation together after the fight.
