Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson is definitely one of the biggest fights of 2024. And the best part is no one saw this coming. The announcement alone has sparked a whirlwind of excitement among the people. And guess what! The numbers reflect the same. In a recent pinch, ‘The Problem Child’ turned to social media to reveal 50,000 signing up to Netflix, where the fight will be broadcast live. 

The highly talked about fight will unfold on July 20, 2024, at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Initially, the bout seemed like an exhibition fight. But as per a recent revelation from MMA Journalist Ariel Helwani, the fight might just be a professional one under the auspices of the Texas Boxing Commission. Meanwhile, Paul revealed Early Access purchases for his fight against Tyson.

Turning to their Instagram story, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions wrote, “Over 50,000 have signed up for early access to Paul Tyson tickets. Don’t miss out.” Moments after the story, the Cleveland native decided to spread the word among his fans by sharing it on his own. He also added a mysterious line, claiming, “Me and Mike [are] as big as the…”

Moreover, the thing is, there was some fake news floating around about their upcoming fight. Derek Chisora claimed the fight would see Paul and Mike using head gears and 18-ounce gloves.

However, it turns out to be completely false. Jake Paul and his business partner Nakisa Bidarian cleared the air while Helwani revealed the real rules.

What are the rules for the Mike Tyson vs. Jake Paul fight?

Turning to his Instagram, Bidarian claimed, “Unequivocally, there is no headgear for Paul vs Tyson. Haters spreading fake news, but it won’t stop the tens of millions of views.” The same statement was shared by Paul on his Instagram. Meanwhile, Helwani said in his MMA Hour podcast, “They’re still working on a few important details based on the conversations I’ve had.”

Helwani even revealed that the fight will be in the heavyweight division, but he is still trying to find out how many rounds the fight may feature. Speaking on the use of headgear in the fight, Helwani said, “I was told there’s absolutely no headgear involved. This is going to look like your typical boxing match.”

Paul’s “50,000” revelation shouldn’t come as a surprise, given how much pull Mike Tyson alone has in the boxing world.
