Jake Paul and Mike Perry are set to throw down in an 8-round boxing match at the Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida. The July 20 event was originally planned for a clash between Paul and heavyweight boxing legend, Mike Tyson. But the plans fell apart when Tyson suffered from a medical issue and the bout has since been rescheduled for later. This has led to ‘The Problem Child’ being pitted against unbeaten Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship star Mike Perry.
While Perry has gone on to reveal that his career has seen significant financial growth after leaving the UFC, it remains to be seen how much he will make from the Jake Paul match. As for Paul, his purse might be slightly lower than what he would have expected if his fight with Tyson would’ve gone ahead. Let’s take a look and explore all we know about Jake Paul and Mike Perry’s estimated payouts for the highly anticipated clash!

According to reports, for Paul’s clash against Ryan Bourland in March 2024, the social media star turned boxer went home with an estimated payout somewhere between $5 million and $7 million.
If the fight was held against Mike Tyson, as was the original plan, Paul may have found himself walking away with a significantly heftier purse than he might get against Mike Perry. Still with ‘Platinum’, it is estimated that Paul may take home higher than his earnings from his fight against Ryan Bourland, and $8 – $10 million could be a possible payout for the Cleveland native if PPV earnings are taken into account.
Paul is estimated to earn a base salary of $300,000, but a significant amount of his earnings will come from PPV earnings. Given that he holds a major chunk of PPV shares, his final purse after the match could be much higher. But what about ‘The King of Violence’? Let’s shift our focus to the man who rules over the BKFC ring!

According to Mike Perry, he will be receiving the same amount as he does in his BKFC contract. In a report shared by talkSPORT, ‘Platinum’ went home with a purse of $600,000 for his clash against Thiago Alves at the BKFC KnuckleMania IV event in April.
If the PPV does well in sales through DAZN, which will be in charge of the show, his purse could increase further. Speaking ahead of the bout Perry said, “It’s not bad. It’s right on cue with BKFC. Nothing crazy. I’m hoping the pay-per-view does well and that people buy the show because DAZN be a little pricey out there sometimes.”
Perry has also been offered a wager that may boost his income for this fight! In response to Perry claiming he’ll finish Paul in the seventh round, ‘The Problem Child’ responded by stating, “Hey, if you make it to the seventh round, I’ll give you $500,000.” As such, if Paul does hold to his promise, Mike Perry can walk away approximately $1.1 million richer from this fight!
It’s important to note that the figures shared in this article are estimates based on publicly available information and do not represent accurate payouts, which will include PPV buys for Paul.
‘The King of Violence’ Perry, a former UFC star, has gone undefeated since joining BKFC in 2021 when his contract ran out with the MMA organization. Perry is now aiming to become the first former UFC fighter to walk away with his hands raised after facing Jake Paul. Tyron Woodley, Anderson Silva, and Ben Askren have all failed, but is ‘Platinum’ the kryptonite to ‘The Problem Child’? We’ll have to wait and see.
While for Perry the estimated amount of $600,000 will be similar to his previous earnings, for Paul, his fight purse has varied depending on the opponents.

Apart from earning an estimated $5-$7 million from his last match against Bourland, Paul has earned a healthy amount of money from his boxing career. He earned $2 million in his first fight against Tyron Woodley in 2021 and made $1.5 million against MMA legend Anderson Silva in October 2022.
Against Nate Diaz in August 2023, he ended up making close to $5 million after winning the bout. Jake Paul also claimed that for his fight against Tommy Fury, he was awarded a share of 65% of the PPV earnings with an approximately $3.2 million pay in February last year. So, ‘The Problem Child’ claimed that he made $30 million total from the fight against Tyson Fury’s younger brother.
So, for Paul earning a seven-figure sum from his next fight against Perry would not be entirely impossible, but he knows more than the money his reputation will be at stake.
