Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., son of the iconic Julio Cesar Chavez, recently gave a fiery response when asked about a potential fight with Paul.
This isn’t the first time Paul’s name has been linked to a boxing champion. In 2021, he defeated MMA legend Anderson Silva, who himself holds a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Could we see a match in the making, but this time between Paul and Chavez Jr.? During a revealing interview with Fighthype.com, the topic swiftly shifted towards Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s boxing future. The interviewer, keen on digging deeper, asked, “Chavez, are you back, what’s up with Chavez Jr?” Chavez Jr., with a spark of determination, responded, “Maybe I fight in June at the Masvidal and Nate Diaz fight. So I’m training now.”
The interviewer probed further about a potential face-off with Jake Paul. “Would you fight Jake Paul?” he inquired. Chavez Jr.’s reply was immediate and charged with enthusiasm, “Hell yeah, something to him you know.” This statement alone was enough to stir speculation and excitement among boxing and fight fans alike.
The conversation took a more direct turn when the interviewer sought a message for Jake Paul, should he be watching. Chavez Jr. did not hold back, responding with a bold gesture rather than words, showing the middle finger and walking away.
