Jake Paul is no stranger to random call-outs. The YouTuber-turned-boxer is set to face off against boxing legend Mike Tyson in a much-anticipated July bout. But with that fight on the horizon, another challenge has emerged. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., son of the iconic Julio Cesar Chavez, recently gave a fiery response when asked about a potential fight with Paul.

This isn’t the first time Paul’s name has been linked to a boxing champion. In 2021, he defeated MMA legend Anderson Silva, who himself holds a victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Could we see a match in the making, but this time between Paul and Chavez Jr.? Chavez Jr.’s NSFW response has certainly stirred the pot.

Chavez Jr. flips the bird: “Hell yeah” to fighting Jake Paul

During a revealing interview with Fighthype.com, the topic swiftly shifted towards Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.’s boxing future. The interviewer, keen on digging deeper, asked, “Chavez, are you back, what’s up with Chavez Jr?” Chavez Jr., with a spark of determination, responded, “Maybe I fight in June at the Masvidal and Nate Diaz fight. So I’m training now.”

The interviewer probed further about a potential face-off with Jake Paul. “Would you fight Jake Paul?” he inquired. Chavez Jr.’s reply was immediate and charged with enthusiasm, “Hell yeah, something to him you know.” This statement alone was enough to stir speculation and excitement among boxing and fight fans alike.

The conversation took a more direct turn when the interviewer sought a message for Jake Paul, should he be watching. Chavez Jr. did not hold back, responding with a bold gesture rather than words, showing the middle finger and walking away. This action, although devoid of verbal communication, spoke volumes about Chavez Jr.’s feelings towards Paul and the possibility of a future bout.

This isn’t the first time this potential bout has been talked about. Jake Paul once considered Cesar Chavez to be at the top of the list of opponents he wanted to face. Reacting to Chavez Jr.’s situation then, Paul shared on Twitter, “[Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.] was near the top of the list. But unfortunately, he is going through rehab. Hopefully in the future.”
