“Creed 4“. That’s what Jake Paul wrote in his Instagram post. It will probably reignite last year’s rumor of him winning a role in the upcoming fourth edition of the ‘Creed’ movie series. More so, the post had a clip that showed him climb the celebrated ‘Rocky’ steps, which are actually the 72 steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Paul is even dressed up like ‘Rocky Balboa’, with a red bandana wrapped around his forehead. Bill Conti‘s ‘Gonna Fly Now’ could be heard running in the background. Only the entire antic seems to have ticked off a few followers.
The post follows training footage that he shared not so long ago. ‘The Problem Child’ is preparing for what could be the biggest battle of his boxing career. At the AT & T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20, he will face Mike Tyson in an exhibition bout.
The video begins with Jake Paul climbing up the stairs. Once at the top, he immediately gets down to shadow boxing: jab, jab, straight right, and so on. Soon, selfies with a bunch of fans followed. The final shot shows him throwing punches while sitting in the backseat of his car. He is completely oblivious even when a team member calls him out, “Jake, Jake….Jake!” Finally, when ‘The Problem Child turned around, the team member told him to ‘snap out’ of the ‘Rocky’ mode.

Looking nonplussed, Jake Paul said, “You should have called me ‘Rocky’, I would….” The Cleveland-born YouTuber-turned-boxer experienced another successful outing last month. He knocked out former Golden Glove champion Ryan Bourland in the first round of their bout in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The latter, who came out of retirement, is the third professional boxer Paul has faced in the last 12 months.
By fighting professional boxers, with another one coming up in July, Jake Paul wants to show the world how serious he is about the sport. A win over the once ‘Baddest Man on the Planet’ will add another feather to his cap.
Jake Paul: Jack of All Trades, But Master of None?
But does it require undertaking such capers? Quite a few fans appear a bit peeved. But then fans will always believe that he has what it takes to defeat one of the most dreaded boxers in history.
The following user appears certain that 52-year-old Mike Tyson will knock the wits out of Jake Paul. For readers, he’s actually 57 and will be 58 by the time of the fight. “Still gonna get KO by a 52-year-old,” they said.
A bit more pitiably, the next one told ‘The Problem Child’ to stay true to himself and create his own theme instead of latching on to someone else’s. The user said, “Stop stealing everybody theme and create your own.”
Then, taking things somewhat matter-of-factly, this commenter felt that, barring training, Jake Paul appears to be trying his hands at everything: “I feel like he doing everything but training.”
According to this follower, everyone still remembers ‘Rocky’, which was released nearly 48 years ago. However, even after thirty years, hardly anyone would recall ‘The Problem Child’. “Unlike Rocky, in 30 years no one will know who Jake Paul was,” the follower said.
But there were a few who jumped in support of the Ohioan. For instance, this user believes that Jake Paul is way too young and powerful for the much older Mike Tyson. They said, “Too young and too strong for Mike. Lights out.”

A certain section still remains concerned about a former champion, nearing sixty, taking on an active influencer boxer, thirty years his junior.
Now add to it the clips and posts, such as the one Jake Paul shared today. There are chances that questions about the whole seriousness of the fight might crop up in the minds of a few fans and followers. Nevertheless, many still look forward to the bout. It will be intriguing to see the youngest heavyweight champion in history, who can physically give most young men a run for their money, square up against a young boxer who has been very active in the ring.
