Despite the constant criticism, there remains a lingering fascination among every boxing fan to know Jake Paul‘s next move. Ever since his fight against Mike Tyson last September, The Problem Child has been desperately searching for an opponent. Ideas of potential matches with Julio Cesar Chavez, a rematch against Tommy Fury, and even against Antony Joshua floated around, only for the chatter to simmer down quickly.

A showdown with Canelo Alvarez seemed close to locked in; until Cinnamon flipped the script. He allegedly used the hype around Paul to secure a lucrative Saudi deal. However, despite constant disappointment, it doesn’t look like things are still under control. As Nakisa Bidarian revealed Jake Paul’s packed year ahead with a fight against a world champion on the cards.

Busy day ahead for Jake Paul

Recently, the MVP co-owner, Nakisa Bidarian sat down with The Sun to discuss El Gallo’s future. He acknowledged the roadblocks in finalizing the upcoming bout but insisted gears are turning. “We’re actively working on putting together Jake’s fight for this summer,” he stated.

Bidarian laid down a road map: the 27-year-old is scheduled to fight in the summer followed by another fight later in the year, for which the negotiations have already started. “We’ll announce it as soon as we’re ready. And then we are actively working on figuring out Jake’s next fight – call it October to December time frame.”

MVP’s ambitions don’t stop there. They’re gunning to make 2025 massive and already plotting a knockout 2026. “The plan is for Jake to fight twice in 2025 and 2 to 3 times in 2026,” Bidarian said.

With no announcement yet, it is hard to fathom how Bidarian and Jake Paul are going to put together 5 fights in less than 21 months. However, rumors suggest The Problem Child is on the verge of sealing a clash with a world champion, reigniting the hype around his potential opponents.

Another record-breaking bout on the card

During the Tyson-Paul historic fight, Gervonta Davis laid down an open challenge for the YouTuber-turned-boxer on his social media. Later, El Gallo accepted the challenge to send the combat world into a frenzy. However, there has been no progression since the public callouts, till now.

It looks like the tides are finally turning as Bidarian told The Sun that talks of a potential match up are in place. Jake Paul’s team believes that a fight against Tank is a perfect opportunity for the former to test his skills. Furthermore, Bidarian pegged the WBC lightweight champ as the only U.S. fighter who can rival Paul’s pay-per-view pull. “Gervonta Davis, other than Jake Paul, is the only American pay-per-view box office star,” he stated.

He added, Gervonta has called Jake a clown multiple times and said he could beat him with one hand tied behind his back. So, it’s not like the guys are massive fans of each other, But they also have respect and understand that the two of them are the standalone kind of massive fighters from the US.”

However, with Tank stuck with Lamont Roach’s rematch, a summer clash seems off the table. Rather, the teams must be targeting this fight to close out the year. This is good news for Jake Paul. However, it’s not the best news for Shakur Stevenson, who was hoping for a September clash against Tank.
