Just after 2 months of his highly publicized split, Tommy Fury has officially released his memoir. ‘Lightning Can Strike Twice: My Life as a Fury’ recently hit stores. In August 2024, Fury and his partner of five years, Molly-Mae Hague, announced that they were no longer together. Both of them kept the reason behind the split a secret. However, rumors quickly began circulating, suggesting that Tommy Fury had been unfaithful during their relationship. Fury, however, strongly denied these allegations, calling them “completely false” and stating that he had never cheated. Since then, both have been living life as co-parents to their 1-year-old child, Bambi.
The Lancashire resident announced back in March that he was writing a book on his life. But after the breakup, he decided to add one more chapter to the memoir, revealing the reasons behind the breakup. On Thursday, Tyson Fury‘s half-brother talked about the book and read out certain excerpts from it. Unfortunately, his long-time rival, Jake Paul, took the opportunity to troll the 10-0 boxer.

Fury released a few excerpts of his reading on his Snapchat account. The Problem Child screen recorded a clip where Fury was talking about the darkest phase of his life and how there was no escape. In the clip, TNT further stated that in those moments, he was his own worst enemy and he just wished someone had told him that the consequences of his success would be this brutal.

Paul uploaded the clip on his Instagram story and made fun of how Fury was narrating the story. The 25-year-old decided to take a rather poetic route to tell his story and Jake Paul jumped right on it to ridicule his former opponent. He captioned the video, “Mf got broken up with and started doing broken word poetry,” portraying Fury as the stereotypical heartbroken guy.
This is not the first time that the Problem Child has trolled Fury regarding his breakup. Right after, when the couple called off their wedding, Jake Paul wasted no time and offered a job to Hague as a brand ambassador for his men’s hygiene care brand “W”.
This offer came after Fury turned down Paul’s offer for a rematch. The Problem Child immediately shifted his focus to Mike Tyson. Jake Paul came out later and stated that TNT demanded a higher payment for the Netflix fight in 2024 and that is why the negotiations broke down.
This was not the first time that the Fury-Paul fight negotiation broke down in the middle. Back in December 2021, everything was set for a massive clash before Fury was struck with a bacterial chest infection and a broken rib at the last moment which led to him being replaced by former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley. The 25-year-old revealed in his memoir that pulling out of that lucrative fight resulted in his world falling apart completely.

In his memoir, Fury revealed that he received countless abuse and threats online after pulling out of the Paul fight in 2021. He wrote, “My whole world felt apart. I was this kid from Salford with no money and a big dream,” talking about his dreams and how this fight could have elevated him to a new stardom level.
He further wrote, “I may have done well financially after Love Island, but the fee I would have earned from this fight was something else.” According to several reports, Fury would have earned around $1-2 million, which was so much more than Love Island, where contestants are paid around £200-£300 per week during the show.
After the cancellation, things got so much worse. “I received a torrent of online abuse, my accusers saying I was ‘scared of a YouTuber,’ ‘not a Fury’, ‘a fake fighter’, ’embarrassing my family’, and much worse,” wrote the Lancashire resident stating the dark days that followed after the announcement.

Paul and Fury settled their beef in 2023 when the British boxer won the fight via a split decision and it was like “a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders,” noted Fury in his book.
