While Jake Paul eyes another win tonight against Ryan Bourland at Coliseo Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, Puerto Rico, his promotional company is eyeing a bigger move. Not long ago, reports came out that Terence Crawford had separated from Al Haymon’s PBC, becoming a free agent.
Crawford had signed a one-fight deal with Premier Boxing Championship. And since the rematch with Errol Spence Jr. fell apart, Crawford’s contract with them was null and void. However, ‘Bud’ might not have to wait for long to find new promoters. Today, Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions hopped on social media to express their interest in hiring the former undisputed king.

Turning to X (formerly Twitter), a user suggested that Crawford should get in touch with MVP Promotions. The user wrote, “(Terence Crawford) Should link up with (Most Valuable Promotions) to close out his career (Jake Paul).” However, a few minutes after the tweet went live, MVP themselves came online.

While they did not penn down a whole tweet on the matter, they reposted the tweet from the user, expressing their willingness to onboard Terence Crawford. And let’s face it, Crawford would be the biggest fighter MVP ever worked with besides Amanda Serrano.
However, it’s worth mentioning that there hasn’t been anything official from either side. Meanwhile, Crawford’s next fight might be on the horizon.
Potential opponent for Terence Crawford
‘Bud’ Crawford hasn’t fought since he defeated Errol Spence Jr. in July last year. While there have been a couple of names thrown around as Crawford’s next opponent, only one seems to have come close to reality. During an interview with Fight Hype, the president of WBO, Paco Valcarcel, claimed the winner of the Keith Thurman vs. Tim Tszyu fight may face Crawford.

“The winner of that fight will have a tough cookie for his next mandatory, let me tell you,” said Valcarcel. He suggested the talks for the fight with Crawford are underway. However, “I’m not authorized to tell (more, but) he love to fight at 154. But I’m not authorized to make it public,” said Valcarcel. He further added, “I have been talking to Crawford for long now … he’ll be in Puerto Rico on Friday. You are the first person I’ve talked to about the possibility of Crawford moving to 154.”
