Can Jake Paul really stand a chance against Tyson's legendary uppercut, or is he just bluffing?

“It’s already written,” Jake Paul confidently declared when asked if he’d knock out Mike Tyson during the MVP Face 2 Face. But then, in a surprising twist, his next words about ‘The Baddest Man on the Planet’ revealed a hint of fear. Paul confessed that even his mom is scared to watch Tyson throw a punch, crediting the former heavyweight champ with having the “deadliest” uppercut in the game.

Seems like Paul’s bravado has taken a back seat to show some serious respect, as the duo came face to face. Paul and Tyson will lock horns on November 15th at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas—home of the Dallas Cowboys. In the meantime, the usual pre-fight rituals have kicked off, but nobody expected Paul to show signs of fear.

“This is the baddest man on the planet, heavyweight. I mean, just look at the f**king guy, sitting here right now. He’s an animal,” Paul said during the face-to-face conversation. “He posts Instagram pictures and I get a little scared because of how good he looks.” Despite that, Paul emphasized that he has to step up to Tyson’s level and do the impossible because “that’s what the story of Jake Paul is all about.”

Later in the conversation, the host probed Jake Paul whether he was concerned about getting hit on the chin by one of Tyson’s punches. “Yes, indeed,” ‘The Problem Child’ said. “I have to be alert. This is a scary man. He’s a killer and [still] has all the power—clearly.” The 27-year-old highlighted all of Mike Tyson’s training and sparring footage online to emphasize his point.

He even confessed to his mother being scared of Tyson’s punches, noting, “My mom is messaging… She can’t even watch Tyson punch. She won’t watch it because it scares her.” Nonetheless, Paul seems to be concerned about a specific punch from Tyson—the uppercut. Tyson was known for his signature jaw-breaking uppercuts.

His right hook to the body followed by a right uppercut to the head has taken down several opponents. So, Paul highlighted in the MVP Face 2 Face, “He has one of the deadliest uppercuts of all time,” adding that he will have to be alert at all times and persevere through it. Regardless, something bizarre happened later in the interview.

Jake Paul presents Mike Tyson with a special gift

At the tail end of their face-to-face conversation, things took a surprising turn, as ‘The Problem Child’ made a genuinely sweet gesture towards Mike Tyson. While one could argue Paul tried to bribe Tyson to go easy on him with his heartfelt gift, it was undeniably an unexpected gift from Paul. So, what was the gift?

Mike Tyson is known for his love for pigeons—per his own confession, Tyson got into his first fight because of a pigeon when a bully killed his favorite pet bird. So, Paul gifted Tyson a Southeast Asian pigeon. However, in a hilarious twist, Tyson responded to the gift, stating, “Looks like a low-budget pedigree.” But Paul claimed, “[I] paid thousands of dollars for that.”
