Will Jake Paul's antics backfire when he faces the real power of Mike Tyson in the ring?

YouTube star turned boxing sensation, Jake Paul, never falls short when it comes to innovative self-promotion. Just a few days ago, we saw LSU gymnast Olivia Dunne feature in a promotional video for Paul’s men’s care brand, W. Now in his latest marketing move, the 27-year-old took things up a notch. He shared a bold promotional video on social media, where the skit takes an unexpected turn, leading to fans hilariously bringing legendary Mike Tyson into the mix.

‘The Problem Child’ is on a collision course with Tyson on November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, for a professional bout—set to stream live on Netflix. The fight has already garnered massive attention, having been postponed previously and fans are eager to see the action move from verbal blows to real jabs in the boxing ring.

But as the anticipation builds, Jake Paul is also busy promoting his new brand W. Earlier today, Paul shared the video in question, where he places a can of W men’s fragrance in front of a robotic equipped with a flamethrower—because why not? “You’re not gonna believe what happens when I put this can of W in front of this robot flamethrower dog,” he teases, setting the stage for some wild shenanigans.

As the excitement builds, he bolts away, eager to watch the chaos from a safe distance, shouting, “Here we go!” But just as the robot unleashes its fiery breath on the can, BAM! A car zooms in out of nowhere, hitting Paul and dragging him off like a cartoon character! Of course, this wasn’t real and it was the work of some sleek editing.

The post clarifies as much with the caption, “No one was harmed in the making of this video. It is for entertainment purposes only.” This isn’t the first time Paul has gone over the top with promotion for his products.

A week ago, he posted an NSFW video promoting his sports betting app, Betr, founded in 2022. In the video, Paul is standing with another person, much leaner than him and both don’t have any clothes on. The YouTuber mentions how his app offers “bigger” payouts compared to the “tiny, little payouts” of its competitors.

Coming back to his latest video about W, the post caught the attention of the fans, who have their calendars marked for the big fight. As such many of them couldn’t help but put Mike Tyson hilariously into the picture over Paul’s scripted mishap.

Fans bring Mike Tyson into the fold over Jake Paul’s IG post

The bout between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson was originally scheduled for 20 July, but Tyson’s ulcer flare-up led to the fight being rescheduled. But that hasn’t dampened the competitive spirit of both the boxers. This was evident when Tyson posted a video from his gym on October 25, showing off his physique and looking fit.

He captioned the video, “Jake’s wake in 20 days,” drawing a response from Paul. The YouTuber turned boxer who commented on the post, “Fair play, Mike. You look incredible. Hulk stuff. But I’m still messing you up in 20 days.” Hence, after his outlandish promotional post for W, fans brought up Tyson in the comments, highlighting the anticipation for their bout.

One user hilariously suggested Tyson might have been driving the car that took out Jake Paul, writing, “Mike Tyson driven that car.”

Another user drew a comparison between Paul’s staged accident and the fate he could face when he steps into the ring with Tyson. “That car ran you over just like Mike Tyson [would],” the user commented. However, many also believe Paul will get the upper hand due to his massive age advantage.

However, many fans continued to highlight how Jake would end up on the wrong end of one of Tyson’s punches. “Exactly what it [will] feel like when Mike Tyson hits him,” a user wrote. Tyson has not been mincing his words when it comes to the showdown with Jake Paul, despite a staggering 31-year age difference.

Back in March, Tyson said, “If you think I signed the contract for money, you’re f*****g stupid. I’m coming to retire him early, so he can join his brother in WWE.” Moreover, Jake Paul might already be sounding concerned after Most Valuable Promotions uploaded a video of Tyson flexing his muscles and appearing in great shape. Paul was left stunned by what he saw and commented “WTF!!” under the post.

Notably, Tyson himself has suggested he will be looking for a knockout finish and this is what some fans believe will happen. “It’s what’s Gona happen when that Tyson left hook lands,” wrote one user. Another fan had a cold reply to Paul’s video, writing, “Better than getting hit by @miketyson 😂👏.”

A fan was also left baffled by the video and pointed out how it appeared that Paul was hit by the car for real, noting, “Damn it look real.”

It appears while Jake Paul was trying to promote his fragrance brand, all fans can think about is his upcoming bout against Mike Tyson. Will these comments turn out to be true? Or will Paul flip the script on Tyson?
